Yoga is still happening. If the day is as I prefer and I’m left to be following the morning chores (e.g. the husband and children leave for the day), I practice my yoga straight away. However, life doesn’t always allow for structured routine — there is illness, and silly dogs, and runaway chickens, or family emergencies. In those days when routine has been bombed by life, right before bed, I will also practice, doing a routine that is all about stress release and relaxation. I long for the days I can fit in both a morning and evening practice. Regardless, yoga practice is happening.
I have found that I will hit the mat, like this morning, even when I feel like I JUST CAN’T. I’m always pleased that I did. Like the new year’s resolution: exercise every day even when it seems like a bad idea.
I am also still getting in walks almost daily, with not just Yuki now, but two new puppies for which we inherited from my recently passed mother-in-law. Kola and Sprite have brought a whole lot more activity to my schedule. I jokingly told my husband that I’m running Casz’s Doggie Daycare. The next best-selling novel will be written slower, but the exchange for puppy love and joy has been grand. They love yoga time, too. They can keep an eye on me from their beds and quickly snooze without any anxiety.
Also knew on the Yoga Every Day for the last two weeks has included NO SUGAR. I’m down four pounds from my annual physical, which in part spurred this new eating habit goal. Hubby and Youngest Son have joined me as well. They are seeing similar results. You would not believe how many things in our lives contain refined and added sugar. Find me a yogurt that doesn’t have added sugar. Please. I need my probiotics. I’m still on the hunt.
If the weather stays pleasant, we may get to film me trying to stand up and sit down without using my hands. I’m getting a little closer to doing it; but, it’s still not within grasp. However now, I can see that it’s possible. All this in just 143 days.
